Professional Experience and Leadership

Dr. Dilaver Ersanli has dedicated his career to the field of Ophthalmology, amassing over three decades of invaluable experience. His professional journey includes significant leadership positions within esteemed institutions. From 2007 to 2011, he served as the Chief of the Eye Clinic at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital, followed by his tenure as Chief Physician of the same institution from 2011 to 2013. Prior to these leadership roles, Dr. Ersanli held the position of Associate Professor at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital from 1998 to 2008, and also served as the Deputy Chief Physician during the same period. He began his academic and clinical career at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital as an Assistant Professor from 1993 to 1998, after completing his specialization training there from 1986 to 1990. His early career included a role as an Ophthalmologist at Bursa Military Hospital from 1990 to 1993. In 2021, Dr. Ersanli joined the Acıbadem Health Group, continuing his commitment to patient care.

Education

Dr. Ersanli’s foundational medical education was completed at Trakya University Edirne Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He then pursued his specialization in Ophthalmology at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital, a rigorous program he completed in 1990. He further advanced his academic credentials, achieving the title of Professor at GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital from 2008 to 2013.

Dr. Ersanli has made notable contributions to ophthalmic literature through his research and publications. His scholarly work explores a range of critical areas within ophthalmology, including the evaluation of retinal nerve fiber thickness using optical coherence tomography in myopic eyes, as published in the Gulhane Medical Journal (2012). He has also investigated the utilization of hyperbaric oxygen in treating corneal neovascularization, presenting case reports and exploring its potential therapeutic benefits, as seen in the Turkish Clinics Journal of Medical Sciences (2012) and European Journal of General Medicine (2010). His research also delves into conditions such as pseudoexfoliative glaucoma, the ophthalmic manifestations of leukemia, lamellar macular holes, chronic central serous chorioretinopathy, and fundus autofluorescence in conditions like choroidal rupture. Additionally, he has contributed to the diagnosis of conditions like sickle cell hemoglobinopathy following traumatic hyphema, as noted in the Gulhane Medical Journal (2005).
