Dr. F. ARDA ATAR
Professional Experience
Dr. F. Arda Atar brings over a decade of dedicated experience to the field of Urology. His career progression demonstrates a strong commitment to patient care and advancing urological techniques. He currently contributes his expertise to the Acıbadem Health Group as of 2024, following his tenure at Istanbul Pine and Sakura City Hospital starting in 2021. Prior to this, Dr. Atar held the esteemed position of Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at Health Sciences University Hamidiye Faculty of Medicine, Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, from 2019. His early career included significant roles as an Associate Professor at Istanbul Bakirkoy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital and as Chief Assistant at the same institution. He commenced his professional journey with compulsory service at Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Suleyman Training and Research Hospital in 2011.
Education and Advanced Training
Dr. Atar’s foundational medical education was completed at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty in 2005, followed by his specialization in Urology at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2011. His pursuit of advanced knowledge and skills is evident in his rigorous training. He achieved the prestigious Fellow of European Board of Urology (FEBU) certification in Brussels in 2014. Demonstrating his commitment to cutting-edge procedures, Dr. Atar completed a Training Course on Advanced Stone Surgery (Mini PCNL, ECIRS) in Torino in 2018. Further enhancing his surgical proficiency, he undertook the Anatomic Endoscopic Enucleation of Prostate (HOLEP) Course by F.G. Sancha in Thessaloniki in 2022.

Dr. Atar has contributed to the scientific literature through several impactful publications. His research interests span various aspects of urology, reflecting a comprehensive approach to patient health. Notable publications include his work on dietary advice for patients with metabolic syndrome and obesity in World Journal of Urology (2023), and his involvement in a global survey on urologists’ attitudes towards metabolic evaluation for urolithiasis, published in Urolithiasis (2022). He has also explored the genetic aspects of urolithiasis, with research on serum paraoxonase-1 gene polymorphism and enzyme activity appearing in a 2016 publication. Earlier in his career, he co-authored a case study on the laparoscopic management of iatrogenic bladder rupture in a child, featured in the European Journal of Pediatric Surgery (2011).
