Professional Experience
Dr. Figen Akin brings over three decades of comprehensive medical experience to the field of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases. Her career journey commenced in general practice, where she served at Kocaeli SSK Hospital from 1990 to 1992, followed by Aydin SSK Hospital from 1992 to 2001. This foundational period provided her with broad clinical exposure before she transitioned into specialized dermatological training.
From 2001 to 2005, Dr. Akin honed her skills as an Assistant in the Department of Dermatology at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, a pivotal phase in her academic and clinical development. Upon completing her specialization, she embarked on a distinguished career as a Dermatology Specialist. Her specialized practice began at Koşuyolu Medipol Hospital from 2005 to 2007, followed by an extensive tenure at Private Anadolu Health Gebze Hospital from 2007 to 2019. Subsequently, she served as a Dermatology Specialist at Ulus Private LIV Hospital between 2019 and 2021, and at Medicana International Hospital in 2021. Currently, Dr. Akin is a respected practitioner at Acıbadem Health Group, continuing her commitment to advanced patient care.
