Education and Board Certification

Dr. Demirci’s foundational medical education was completed at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He further honed his skills in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Zeynep Kamil Women and Children’s Diseases Training and Research Hospital in 1990. His academic career progressed significantly at Abant İzzet Baysal University, Düzce Faculty of Medicine, where he served as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and ultimately Professor Doctor between 1997 and 2008. Demonstrating his commitment to specialized knowledge, he achieved his Medical Specialization Board certification in Gynecological Oncology Surgery in 2011.

He has served on the board of directors for the Turkish Association of Gynecology and Obstetrics (TJOD) from 2004 to 2010 and as a board member from 2012 to 2016. His international influence is marked by his advisory board membership for the Federation of International Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) in 2004 and his role in the Mediterranean Incontinence and Pelvic Floor Society (MIPS) advisory board since 2017. He has also been instrumental in shaping the field of urogynecology as the President, Founding Secretary General, and Board Member of the Turkish Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Association since 1997.
