Dr. FUNDA YILDIZ

Professional Experience

Dr. Funda Yildiz brings over a decade of dedicated experience in pediatric healthcare. Her professional journey includes significant roles as an Assistant Professor in the Child Health and Diseases Department at İstinye University Hospital from 2021 to 2023. Prior to this, she served as a Child Health and Diseases Specialist at the TC Ministry of Health Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital (2020-2021) and the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health Ordu University Training and Research Hospital (2019). Her foundational training also included experience as a General Practitioner in the Emergency Service at the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health Edirne Sultan I.Murat State Hospital (2014-2015).

Education and Advanced Training

Dr. Yildiz is committed to advancing her knowledge and expertise. She is currently engaged in her PhD program in Adolescent Health at the prestigious Istanbul University Health Sciences Institute, a testament to her dedication to this specialized field. Her core medical education was completed at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, where she specialized in Child Health and Diseases (2019). She also holds a degree from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine (2014).

Publications and Research Contributions

Dr. Yildiz is an active contributor to medical literature, with publications demonstrating her commitment to research and understanding of pediatric health challenges. Her published works include research on SARS-COV-2 infections in children, investigating the role of fibrinogen in predicting diagnosis and severity. She has also contributed to studies on the demographic and clinical characteristics of COVID-19 in children and the impact of household tobacco smoke. Further research includes a report on transient hyperphosphatasemia of infancy, highlighting her breadth of expertise in pediatric conditions.
