Dr. ISMAIL SELCUK
Professional Experience
Dr. Ismail Selcuk has dedicated his career to the field of Cardiovascular Surgery, accumulating significant experience in complex cardiac and vascular interventions. He is currently an Associate Professor at Istanbul Sultan II. Abdulhamid Han Training and Research Hospital, a position he has held since 2023. Prior to this, he served as a Specialist Physician at the same institution starting in 2017. His early career included valuable specialization at the GATA Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic in Ankara from 2014 to 2017.
Education
Dr. Selcuk’s foundational medical education was completed at the Gulhane Military Medical Academy Faculty of Medicine in 2005. He further specialized in Cardiovascular Surgery, graduating from the Gulhane Military Medical Academy in 2014. His commitment to academic advancement is evident in his recent achievement of Associate Professorship in Cardiovascular Surgery from Istanbul Sultan II. Abdulhamid Han Training and Research Hospital in 2023.

He has also contributed significantly to the understanding of endovascular system treatments for high-risk pulmonary embolism, various strategies for aberrant right subclavian artery repair, and prosthetic vascular graft management.
