Notably, he played a pivotal role in the first successful unrelated stem cell transplantation performed in India at Apollo Cancer Hospital, Chennai, in 2007. Further underscoring his pioneering spirit, he was part of the Apollo team that executed the first Total Marrow Irradiation conditioning prior to stem cell transplantation in India in 2019.
