Doctor LI, with over 40 years of experience in pediatrics, has completed thousands of pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCT). He has studied in the United States at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center, as well as in Italy at the Pesaro Bone Marrow Transplant Center, and in Japan at Kansai Medical University. His main focus are in the diagnosis and treatment of hematological diseases, including thalassemia, aplastic anemia, congenital bone marrow failure, inborn immunodeficiency diseases and genetic metabolic diseases, various types of leukemias, lymphomas, and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, etc. He focuses on the technology of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, and constantly innovates and iterates transplantation protocols, pioneers complementary transplantation protocols, and leads the global multi-center clinical trials of such protocols.
