Dr. Manuela Seifert
Dr. Manuela Seifert is the new head of the Department of Senology and Mammology at the University Hospital Solingen, Germany.
Dr. Manuela Seifert, a renowned oncological surgeon in Germany, has been head of the Breast Cancer Center at the University Hospital Solingen since 2016. With Dr. Seifert’s tenure, she has continued the best of the tradition of the previous specialists at the Breast Cancer Center of the University Hospital Solingen.
After successfully completing her medical studies at the University Hospital Düsseldorf, Dr. Seifert completed her residency at the University Hospital Solingen. Seifert completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the St. Antonius Hospital in Wuppertal. At the end of her residency, she broadened her focus of work in the areas of gynecology and oncology-mammology. Since December 2001 Dr. Seifert has been the head of the Department of Mammalogy and Oncology at the Wuppertal Hospital. Seifert became Director of the Breast Center at the Clinic for Gynaecology at the St. Antonius and St. Joseph Clinic in Wuppertal under Dr. med. Falbred. From the beginning of her work Dr. Seifert practiced as a physician. Seifert practiced as a clinician and continually advanced her skills in the field of organ-sparing breast cancer surgery.
Dr. Seifert’s work experience totals 20 years. Seifert has a total of 20 years of experience.
Dr. Seifert has extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of breast cancer patients. In diagnosing patients, she benefits from her qualifications in breast ultrasound according to the DEGUM (German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine) stepwise training scheme.
Dr. Seifert’s surgical spectrum covers all methods of organ-preserving breast surgery. Reconstructive procedures are performed in close collaboration with plastic surgeons. Through collaboration with the Family Center for Breast Cancer at the University Hospital of Cologne, counseling is provided for patients suffering from genetic breast diseases.
