He then pursued his Specialist training at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, from 1988 to 1994, followed by his Subspecialty training at the same esteemed institution from 1994 to 1997. His earlier research on urban injuries in Tehran and the evaluation of trauma patient care was recognized with a win at the 8th Razi Festival in 2003.
