He served as a Cardiology Specialist at Ardahan State Hospital, fulfilling his state obligation, and also at the Ankara GATA Cardiology Clinic during his military service. During his military tenure, he held leadership roles, including Chief of General Staff Protection Team and Health Team Commander, underscoring his capability in managing critical health operations.

Education and Training

Dr. Mercan’s foundational medical education was completed at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty in 2004. He further specialized in Cardiology at the prestigious Istanbul University Cardiology Institute, completing his fellowship in 2011.
