Professional Journey in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Nino Fuchs cultivated his surgical acumen over many years at the Department for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Breast Surgery at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb. During his tenure from 2012 to 2018, he was integral to one of Croatia’s largest hospital departments, contributing to a 150-bed facility with a dedicated 22-bed plastic surgery unit, leveraging resources from the One-day Surgery Department. His responsibilities extended to critical emergency department services and on-call duties, where he expertly handled a wide spectrum of surgical emergencies, accidents, and pediatric trauma. Dr. Fuchs demonstrated comprehensive skill in the care of polytrauma patients, collaborating closely with internal medicine, urology, and intensive care teams within the hospital’s Polytrauma Centre.

Dr. Fuchs possesses a broad foundation in plastic surgery, with a significant focus on reconstructive techniques and aesthetic enhancements. His specialized skills include advanced breast reconstruction and augmentation, comprehensive body contouring procedures, targeted liposuction, intricate facial surgeries, and the application of non-invasive treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers, all contributing to exceptional skin health and aesthetic outcomes.
Advanced Training and Academic Contributions
Dedicated to the continuous advancement of his surgical capabilities, Dr. Fuchs has pursued specialized international training. His commitment to surgical excellence was further evidenced by his participation and role on the organizing committee for the 9th Croatian Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Congress in 2012. He deepened his expertise through a specialized Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Gentofte Hospital in Denmark in 2018. To further enhance his proficiency in aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Fuchs completed an intensive Fellowship Programme at Akademikliniken in Stockholm, Sweden, from 2020 to 2021.
