Professional Experience
Dr. Serap Utas brings over three decades of dedicated practice to the field of dermatology, with a career marked by continuous academic advancement and clinical service. Her professional journey includes extensive experience at prominent institutions, starting with early healthcare roles in Karabük and Keşap. She then served at Kayseri Aydinlikevler Health Center before embarking on a significant tenure at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, where she advanced through academic ranks. Further international exposure was gained during her time at the Amsterdam Free University Faculty of Medicine, focusing on Dermato-Allergy and Occupational Dermatoses. Currently, Dr. Utas is a valued member of the Acıbadem Health Group.
Education
Dr. Utas’s foundational medical education was completed at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. She subsequently pursued specialized training and academic progression at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Skin and Venereal Diseases. Her academic achievements at Erciyes University include attaining the positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and eventually Professor, reflecting her deep expertise and commitment to medical education and research in dermatology.

Dr. Utas is a recognized leader within the dermatological community, holding significant roles in various esteemed professional organizations. Her leadership extends to positions such as Secretary General and Vice President of the Turkish Dermatology Association, as well as membership in the Turkish Dermatology Accreditation Board and the Turkish Dermatology Qualification and Executive Board. She is also a founding member and former president of the Kayseri Skin and Venereal Diseases Association, and a founding member and former vice president of the Pediatric Dermatology Association.
