Dr. Tarik Zafer Nursal brings over two decades of comprehensive experience as a General Surgery Specialist, marked by significant leadership roles and academic contributions. His career journey includes impactful positions at prestigious institutions, demonstrating a consistent commitment to advancing surgical care. Most recently, he has been affiliated with the Acıbadem Health Group starting in 2024. Prior to this, he served as the Head of the General Surgery Department and a General Surgery Specialist at Private Emsey Hospital in Istanbul from 2021. His practice also encompassed a period of private practice from 2017 to 2021, allowing for focused patient care. Dr. Nursal’s academic career includes significant tenures at Başkent University Dr. Turgut Noyan Training and Research Hospital, Adana, where he held roles as General Surgery Specialist, Associate Professor, and Professor between 2012 and 2017. Earlier, he was instrumental as Chief Physician and Head of General Surgery at Private Medline Hospital, Adana, from 2009 to 2012. His foundational experience as a General Surgery Specialist and Assistant Professor at Başkent University in Adana spans from 1999 to 2009.

Education

Dr. Nursal’s distinguished educational background is a testament to his commitment to continuous learning and academic excellence in surgery. He attained the title of Professor from Capital University in 2014. His academic journey also includes an Associate Degree in Healthcare Business Administration from Anadolu University’s Open Education Faculty, completed between 2009 and 2011. He achieved the rank of Assoc. Prof. Dr. from Başkent University in 2005, following his role as Assistant Professor Dr. at the same institution in 2002. His core medical training was completed at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, where he graduated in 1993 and specialized in General Surgery in 1999.
