His career highlights include significant tenures at esteemed institutions such as Acıbadem Health Group and Memorial Sisli Hospital, commencing in 2023. He previously served at Acıbadem International Hospital from 2010 to 2022, Capital University Istanbul Hospital from 2008 to 2009, and Yeditepe University Hospital from 2005 to 2007. Earlier in his career, he contributed to Mediterranean University Hospital (2003-2005), gained international experience at Baylor College of Medicine (2002-2003), and completed his Nephrology sub-specialty at Başkent University Faculty of Medicine (1998-2002). His foundational training included Internal Medicine specialization at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital (1994-1998) and compulsory service at Kırşehir No. 1 Central Health Center (1993-1994).

Dr. Cakir’s academic journey is marked by a strong foundation and continuous pursuit of knowledge in Nephrology. He achieved the Professorship of Nephrology at Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine in 2014. His formal education includes completing his Nephrology specialization at Baskent University Faculty of Medicine in 2002. His internal medicine training was completed at Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital in 1998, following his medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1993.
