Dr. Umut Akgun brings over two decades of profound experience in Orthopedics and Traumatology, with a specialized focus on Shoulder and Elbow Treatment. His career journey includes significant contributions as Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine since 2020. Prior to this, he honed his skills at Acıbadem Health Group, commencing in 2022. His early professional experience included service at the Diyarbakir Military Hospital’s Orthopedics and Traumatology Clinic from 2005 to 2006, following his residency at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology from 2000 to 2005.

Dr. Akgun’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge is demonstrated by his PhD in Movement and Exercise Sciences, completed in 2022. He holds professorial appointments at Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology, having achieved the rank of Professor in 2017 and Associate Professor in 2012.
