Her career is marked by significant leadership roles, including her tenure as Medical Director of the Oncology Institute at Istanbul University from 2013 to 2015. Prof. Saglam also previously led the Radiation Oncology Department at Bezmiâlem Vakıf University from 2012 to 2013, demonstrating broad influence in shaping oncology services.

Prof. Saglam’s academic foundation was established at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, where she completed her medical degree from 1986 to 1992. She then specialized in Radiation Oncology at the same esteemed institution from 1992 to 1996. Her academic career advanced significantly at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, where she served as an Associate Professor from 2004 to 2009, followed by a professorship in Radiation Oncology from 2009 to 2011.
