He further honed his skills as a senior doctor in the Medical Clinic No. 1 of the City Clinical Hospital in Solingen from 1998 to 2001. A significant leadership position was held as the Chief Doctor of the Clinic of Internal Medicine at Bethlehem Hospital in Stolberg from 2002 to 2008. Currently, since April 1, 2008, Professor Pfaffenbach leads the Department of Gastroenterology at the City Clinical Hospital in Solingen, demonstrating his expertise in advanced gastrointestinal care and management.
