Professor, Markus Heuser, MD
German physician Markus Heuser heads the Department of Urology and Paediatric Urology at the Solingen Clinic. He has 24 years of experience in medical practice. He is a specialist of the highest level in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the urinary system. He is engaged in operative and conservative therapy of uro-oncological diseases, surgery of urinary incontinence and urethral surgery. He uses minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of urological tumours.
In addition to his extensive medical practice, he is engaged in research activities, publishes articles in medical journals, and has more than 40 scientific publications. He actively participates in international seminars and conferences.
Professor Heuser has been honoured with numerous awards in the field of medicine:
August Kürten Prize for uro-oncological research,
the Peter Bischoff Prize of the Association of North German Urologists,
and the German Urological Society Award.
Dr Heuser also teaches at the University of Göttingen. In 2006 he was recognised as the best lecturer of the training module ‘Nephrology and Urology’.
