Dr. Ahmet Soykurt was born in Cyprus in 1990. He completed his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. After completing his residency in general surgery at the University of Health Sciences Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital, he received the title of general surgeon.
He is a successful surgeon who is experienced in oncological surgery (cancer surgery), Bariatric surgery, Reflux surgery, Breast-Endocrine surgery and has achieved many firsts in Cyprus.
He works at the Department of General Surgery at Near East University, which is the largest and fully equipped hospital in Cyprus. In addition to his General Surgery specialization, he completed endoscopy training and advanced endoscopy ercp training and earned the title of Advanced Endoscopist
He has accomplished many major surgeries and firsts in Cyprus. Among the surgeries performed by the TRNC for the first time, Laparoscopic liver resection, recurrent achalasia surgery, Laparoscopic thoracoscopic esophageal cancer surgery, sleeve gastrectomy for organ transplant patients
